alan-chuAlan Chu

Alan Chu's dancing life began after his introduction into Hip Hop Culture, and it's four sub cultures: Deejaying, Emceeing, Graffitti, and Bboying (break dancing).

Through the music he eventually came to try the art of Bboying or Breaking, studying through one of Calgary's first generation Bboy crews, The Original rudes.

After a few years of practicing and training he realized all forms of dance are all interconnected, from really technical styles or a simple matter of swaying to a melody.

Since than he has tried many forms of movement from Locking, Popping, to Lyrical, Contemporary, Salsa, Jazz and even martial arts.

"Hiphop is all about taking your own experiences in life whether they are good or bad, physical or mental, and channeling it through your art to create your own individual style."
